Investigations are billed by the hour plus mileage per mile, photocopies, database costs, film, video, parking and other related costs. During the initial interview, clients are given an estimate of costs and a written service agreement contract. A 50% retainer is required prior to beginning the investigation. If the investigation is going to exceed the initial estimated cost you will be notified and another consultation will be held to determine exactly how to proceed.

Comprehensive reporting and documentation are competencies at CMI, Inc. Detailed reports, accounting for every task, and status information reports will be given throughout the term of the engagement.

All CMI, Inc. investigators are licensed through the Texas Commission on Private Security. For your protection and ours the firm is fully insured.

We reserve the right to request that some of the information clients provide be in written form in order to comply with FCRA and Federal Trade Commission rules and regulations.

CMI specializes in Bail Enforcement or Fugitive Retrieval (aka Bounty Hunting). The use of database technology, trap lines, networking and experience we locate fugitives and execute the capias or arrest warrant on behalf of the surety of the bail bond. In order to proceed with the arrest our firm requests the following information from the Bail Bonds Company:

• A photograph of the defendant.
• A copy of the capias or warrant issued by the court, if possible.
• A copy of the bail bond application of the defendant's information.
  
• A copy of the surety bond posted on the defendant.
  
• A signed contract and a signed authorization to execute warrant or capias by the Bondsman or a legal representative of the Bail Bond Company.

• A minimum fee for any execution of capias or warrant will be charged. There is an additional minimal fee for paper surrenders.
  
• If the fugitive is within the same County as the bonding company there is a fee of 10% of the total bond. This applies to Travis County, Texas only. 
• Within the State of Texas but outside of Travis County, the fee is 20% of the total bond and any expenses are paid in advance.
  
• For all other states within the United States, the fee is 30% of the total bond. All expenses are to be paid in advance and a detailed expense report will be delivered to the Bail Bond Company.

All CMI investigators are licensed through the Texas Commission on Private Security. Our firm is a member of both the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators and the National Association of Investigative Specialists.

We guarantee a "NO FIND - NO FEE" policy.

Civil or criminal subpoenas and citations can be served anywhere in Texas. CM Investigations, Inc. will perform a "first service attempt" within 48 hours of receipt of paperwork. All papers to be served within Travis County, Texas are at a specified rate per paper PROVIDED the client has given accurate location information concerning the 
person(s) to be served. Should our investigators need the assistance of database locater technology or research to identify specific home or work locations that have changed, appropriate fees will be charged to the client to compensate CMI for the effective service used.

Any citations or subpoenas to be served outside the limits of Travis County or in another state will require an individual quote and furthur require expenses be paid in advance and/or mileage paid at the specified rate per mile. There is an additional fee for RUSH service. A signed service agreement is required prior to initiating service.

All CM Investigations, Inc. investigators are licensed through the Texas Commission on Private Security and our firm is a member of both the Texas Association for Licensed Investigators and the National Association of Investigative Specialists. CM Investigations, Inc. provides professional, confidential investigations into civil and criminal cases as well as domestic cases, fraud, internal theft, drug use or sales and missing persons (see "Investigation Services").

When there is a need for surveillance, CMI, Inc. provides this service effectively and efficiently. Our surveillance packages are tailored so each individual client's requirements and budget allowances. Surveillance is billed at an average rate per hour (stationary) per investigator and an additional cost per mile (moving). These rates are billed in blocks of 10 hours and include one roll of film or video, if needed. Should your case require on-going surveillance, a volume discount can be negotiated. If surveillance is part of the Investigation Services contract, the client is billed for all related expenses.

The pricing for these items vary in range depending on what methods are used and how information needs to be obtained. At the time of consultation a trained investigator will propose a total estimate for the information you are requesting, an agreement for services will be prepared and payment in full will be needed for the estimate. Should CMI need to use additional resources to acquire the requested information you will be notified. Generally, we are able to produce results within 24 to 48 hours.

Consulting:

CM Investigations, Inc. offers consulting services to both individuals and companies. Often people feel they need Private Investigators to perform tasks, gather information or provide investigative techniques
 
for situations that may not need as extensive research as the client initially believes. While our processes are geared to support your needs we are also available to guide you through some issues without going to the expense of actually hiring our company to do the work that will give you the same results. If, after the initial consultation, it appears that your needs do not require our specific services, but simply advice on how to get the desired results, one of our highly trained investigators will be available either by telephone or in person. Consulting is billed at a specified rate per hour.

Vehicle Repossession:

Vehicle Repossession is available through CM Investigations, Inc. for individual vehicle dealers as well as large distributors of automobiles and trucks. We do NOT do repossessions that are involved in domestic cases or for individual owners that are not associated with a dealership.

Repossession is billed in Travis County at 33% of the amount owed to the dealer at the time of repossession. All fees are to be paid upon the receipt of the vehicle to the lot. Prior to sending one of our investigators on a repossession case a signed contract is required. If a repossession is required outside of Travis County all expenses are to be paid at the time of the contract execution and prior to one of the investigators engaging in this service. The fee is billed at the rate of 33% of the amount owed to the dealer at the time of repossession. There is a minimum fee charged.
